My name is Jonna Hansen, I am a 24-year-old modern surrealist from Germany, working in fashion and digital 3D.
I am a trans*woman and autistic. Circumstances wich have led me to develop a unique perspective on normality. By most standards, I myself exist outside many social, gender, and psychological norms.
My work is defined by an interest in forms, styles, and narratives, that contradict notions of normality. For me, strangeness is not garish, but a subtle tool to shift frameworks of perception. By playing with the familiar and unfamiliar, mismatching cues and meanings, I try to touch viewers emotionally, irritate them and shine a light on inner conflicts.
My intention is self-exploration. With images and stories, which exist outside the audience‘s comfort zone and experience of reality, my work provides an opportunity to look within.
